Energy Wise Alliance works to improve the lives of the people of Louisiana, especially those in need. Low-income New Orleanians face some of the highest energy burdens in the country, with energy bills eating up nearly 20% of their income. When our residents struggle to pay their bills, their nutrition, healthcare, and other necessities get left behind. Our energy efficiency programs reveal affordable, accessible methods that anyone can use to take control of the energy in their home and live more comfortably.

When we fight to improve household efficiency, we aren't just fighting to lower energy bills, pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions. We're fighting to help families move out of poverty and improve their health outcomes. Our expansion beyond Orleans Parish is just getting started. In 2019, in addition to our education and outreach with Energy Smart in Orleans Parish and Entergy Solutions across the state, we're piloting programs with after-school clubs, job training with opportunity youth, and advancing education opportunities in Jefferson and St. Bernard Parishes. Every dollar you give goes to help local ratepayers, local contractors, local nonprofits and local businesses thrive.
